Additional Comments:
L Tibia: Periostitis distal third of left tibia.
R tibia: possible periostitis; distal fourth of tibia.
R iliac crest: Pre/perimortem cut mark, penetrating cortical bone approximately 1cm in depth; approximately 3cm long. The sharp force trauma does not perforate completely through the iliac crest to the cortical bone on the opposing side. A few cm from the cut mark, there is a portion of depressed bone approximately .5cm in diameter.
R proximal Phalanx: proximo-distal length 3.4cm; Width at midshaft: 1.1cm
Cervical Vert: C6 and C7 complete.
Thoracic Vert: T1 and T2 complete. T7 complete. T8 - vertebral arch only.
Sex determination made via pelvic morphology: All traits indicate that the sex of the individual is MALE.
Aging criterion using pubic symphysis, auricular surface, and epiphyseal union indicate an adult from approximately 35-50 years.
Handedness: Undetermined.
When data collection is complete I'll add to this catalogue.
There's much more in process.
Some teeth present.
There are some differences in humeral width measurements possibly indicating different individuals. Premature determinations should be withheld until pathological change is ruled out.
